In the fifth installment of our leadership Q&A series, let’s get to know Debra Ange, Manager of Outsourced Accounting Services. At RDHB, she is instrumental in helping our small business clients with their bookkeeping and tax needs—but what keeps her busy outside of the office?

What three words would you use to describe RDHB?
Family-oriented. Flexible. Friendly.
What do you like most about working at RDHB?
Everyone works together and as a team. The culture is amazing with how everyone works hard, yet has fun doing it.
Why did you choose a career in accounting? What led you to RDHB?
I loved my accounting teacher in high school. I knew John [Rizzo] from a previous employer and ran into him at Starbucks. We talked about me working at RDHB and I switched firms!
How would you describe your job to a child?
I work with clients and numbers.
Where is your hometown?
Tell us about your family.
I have a 13-year-old son and a 12-year-old daughter. I am also engaged, and he has two children as well.
What is your favorite hobby?
How do you spend the majority of your time outside of work?
I spend most of my time with my family
It’s a Sunday at 2:00pm. What are you most likely doing?
Yardwork or something outside
What do you consider to be your greatest accomplishment?
Passing the CPA exam

2. I’m not sure why, I have always liked that number.
What is your favorite thing about the Rochester area? What is your favorite thing to do here?
I love the fall season in Rochester.
Favorite TV show to binge-watch?
You can eat only one food for the rest of your life. What do you choose?
Salad. I love all different ones.
Where is your most favorite place you have ever visited?
If you could switch places with anyone in the world for one day, who would you switch with?
I can’t think of anyone. I am truly happy with who I am.
If Hollywood made a movie about your life, what famous actor or actress would play you?
What is something you wish you could do, but can’t?
Sky dive. I have always wanted to but feel like I am too old now!
